Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) was founded in 1969 as Tunku Abdul Rahman College and became a full university in 2022. Today it is one of Malaysia's largest private non-profit institutions, with more than 32,000 students across seven faculties and a Centre for Pre-University Studies. Its main campus is a 171-acre site on Jalan Genting Kelang in Kuala Lumpur, with branch campuses in Penang, Perak, Johor, Pahang and Sabah. TAR UMT is known for its strong links with professional bodies: its real estate and quantity surveying programmes are accredited by RICS and CIOB, and it is the only institution worldwide that offers the Internally Assessed ACCA Fundamentals programme.
