Requirements by Country
Find the qualification you need for each study level, based on where you completed your studies.
Typical Entry Requirements
These are typical requirements for Malaysian universities. Final requirements depend on the university and programme, and our counsellor will check your documents for free.
- Foundation or Diploma: SSC (or O-Level)
- Bachelor degree: HSC (or A-Level), or a Foundation or Diploma
- Master degree: a recognised Bachelor degree (usually CGPA 2.50/4.00 or equivalent)
- PhD: a recognised Master degree and a research proposal
Certificates and transcripts should be from your education board. Results can be checked on the official Bangladesh education board results website.
- Foundation or Diploma: Matric / SSC (or O-Level)
- Bachelor degree: Intermediate / HSSC (FA, FSc, ICS, ICom) or A-Level, or a Foundation or Diploma
- Master degree: a recognised Bachelor degree (usually CGPA 2.50/4.00 or equivalent)
- PhD: a recognised Master degree and a research proposal
Some universities or visa steps may ask for IBCC equivalence or attested documents. We will tell you exactly what is needed.
- Foundation or Diploma: Class 10 (Secondary School Certificate)
- Bachelor degree: Class 12 (Higher Secondary Certificate), or a Foundation or Diploma
- Master degree: a recognised Bachelor degree (usually CGPA 2.50/4.00 or equivalent)
- PhD: a recognised Master degree and a research proposal
- Foundation or Diploma: GCE O/L
- Bachelor degree: GCE A/L, or a Foundation or Diploma
- Master degree: a recognised Bachelor degree (usually CGPA 2.50/4.00 or equivalent)
- PhD: a recognised Master degree and a research proposal
- Foundation or Diploma: SEE
- Bachelor degree: Grade 12 (+2, NEB), or a Foundation or Diploma
- Master degree: a recognised Bachelor degree (usually CGPA 2.50/4.00 or equivalent)
- PhD: a recognised Master degree and a research proposal
- Foundation or Diploma: WAEC / NECO SSCE with the required credits
- Bachelor degree: A-Level or an equivalent pre-university qualification, or a Foundation or Diploma
- Master degree: a recognised Bachelor degree (usually CGPA 2.50/4.00 or equivalent)
- PhD: a recognised Master degree and a research proposal
Most countries follow a similar pattern:
- Foundation or Diploma: after 10 to 11 years of schooling
- Bachelor degree: after 12 years of schooling, or after a Foundation or Diploma
- Master degree: after a recognised Bachelor degree
- PhD: after a recognised Master degree

After you accept your offer, the university applies for your student visa approval. Your counsellor will tell you which extra documents, photos and medical checks are needed and when.
